Description
The Way of the Shaman (The Basic Workshop) will be held on Saturday, March 27, 2010, 9:45am to 6pm and Sunday, March 28, 9:30am to 5:30pm in the Yellow Barn at Pebble Hill Church, 320 Edison-Furlong Rd., Doylestown, PA. Pebble Hill Church is a beautiful sanctuary, peace site and interfaith community.
During this experiential workshop, participants are introduced to core shamanism, the universal and near-universal basic methods of the shaman to enter non-ordinary reality for problem solving, well-being and healing. Particular emphasis is put on the classic shamanic journey, one of the most remarkable visionary methods used by humans to explore the hidden universe otherwise known mainly through myth and dream.
The workshop will be led by Dana Robinson, East Coast Teaching Associate of Michael Harner, founder of the Foundation for Shamanic Studies and the author of The Way of the Shaman. He has been teaching up to 30 workshops a year for The Foundation for Shamanic Studies for over 23 years and is a Certified Harner Method Shamanic Counselor.
Tuition for the workshop is $225. Pre-registration is required. Please contact Dana at danacougar@goeaston.net to sign up for the workshop.
If you attend the workshop, please wear comfortable clothing. Bring a large handkerchief or bandana to cover your eyes, a pen and notebook, a grapefruit-size rock, and a drum and/or rattle if you have one. In addition, a pillow and a blanket are recommended for added comfort. We recommend that you bring your lunch with you.
